Join CreativeMornings Virginia Beach every third Friday of the month as we explore, along with 236 other cities in 69 countries around the world, 12 new themes in a face-to-face community format. Past themes have included Rhythm, Endurance, Simplicity, Pride and Treasure. October’s theme is VISION: Collaborators Anita Patel and Stephanie Walters Talk about building creative connections, community and belonging. Come network with your creative community. This event is supported in part by grants to the ViBe Creative District from Virginia Beach Arts & Humanities Commission.

Oct. 20: Annual Pig & Oyster Fest

Enjoy a perfect autumn day at the 24th Street Park at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Celebrating its 45th year, the Annual Virginia Beach Surf & Rescue Museum's Pig & Oyster Fest will be held on Oct. 20 from 1:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m. The fest will feature live music and a silent auction, plus tasty food including oysters on the half shell (raw or roasted), clam soup, pulled pork BBQ, fried chicken and sides. Draft beer is included and wine is available for purchase. (Must be 21+ to participate)
