Call to Annual Congregational Visioning Meeting (and Process)
The Officers and Leadership Circle of the Congregational Church of West Medford | Sanctuary UCC issue this call to the 2020 Annual Congregational Visioning Meeting (and Process) as defined by our by-laws....
I Love Jesus But Hate Hypocrisy
Gandhi famously quipped, “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.” Gandhi stands in good company: the world is full of people who like Jesus very much but can’t stand the people who follow him – and for good reason! This four-week series uses the letters Paul wrote to his friend Timothy to examine places where Jesus’ followers sometimes miss the mark.
Prayer for This Sunday:
All have fallen short of the glory of God. So we all enter this "sanctuary", this place that has been set aside and made holy for the worship of God, as sinners equally unworthy of the grace and mercy we’ve been shown. We enter this time of worship to thank God for all the steadfast love we’ve been shown. We enter this house of prayer asking God for strength and mercy as we continue this journey of life. We enter this house of God singing prayers and praise. Amen.
