The Palms will be in a bucket.

Drive-through, pick a bunch (or two) of Palms;

share with your neighbors (no contact)

No matter how one slices it or observes it, this is always a day of contradictions, with or without a pandemic. Even if one only read the Palm Sunday narrative, it is so steeped in the context of what is to come that we can hardly celebrate it with unbridled joy. The waving of palms and shouts of Hosanna at the beginning of worship will give way to a somber reading of and reflection on the passion of Jesus. Each year we read it in all its grimy and painful details - it is always a painful and difficult day. This year, perhaps even more so.

Yet, we cannot get to Easter, nor can there be resurrection, without the pain of this holiest of weeks, the agony of this death, and the grief of this moment for our community, our country, and the world. 

Let us gather together to hold all of the grief, pain, and promise that Christ will rise and Easter will be. Together - with the Holy Spirit - hope will come in the breaking of bread and remembering of this story that leads to rebirth and renewal.

Prayer for Palm/Passion Sunday:

Holy God, you hear our words, you hear our hearts. Keep us in the grace of knowing we are known and heard, so deeply, so graciously, so constantly. In Jesus the Christ. Amen.

At 3 pm on Wednesdays , Sanctuary will be offering a weekly Messy Church hour to keep children connected with the church. We will read stories, sing songs, and learn about Jesus' love for all of us. Join us during this weekly session to keep your kids connected!
