"Basking In God"

A common thread in all of the lectionary texts this week is that the people of God are to find their identity not in the present world around them, but instead in the eternal reality of God. The fullness of ourselves is mysteriously only truly found in the fullness of God. Finding that completeness takes the time and work of praising God both as individuals and as communities. In different ways, all of today’s readings call the people of God to bask in – to thrive in the presence – of the living God.
Come to Sunday Circle and bask in the presence of God!
Prayer for This Sunday - Ordinary 32
Living God of restoration and power, we want to be so occupied with your love for the world that we no longer fear the future. Your abiding spirit in our midst chases out fear. Guide us in the work of worship, so we find our rest in you alone. Amen.
