As Fall brings a change in weather, 3rd Street continues to rise to the challenge of making the city more welcoming and livable for young people.
This is a community effort.
From providing San Francisco with its first transition-age youth (TAY) navigation center to addressing food insecurity in Bayview Hunters Point, your generosity and support elevates our mission so we can all help our youth thrive.
Since our TAY Navigation Centerfirst opened its doors to youth experiencing homelessness in February 2021, we have helped dozens of individuals reunite with their families, sign leases, or obtain permanent supportive housing. Your commitment made this happen.
Participants of HealthCore and Youth Outreach Squad took to the water on kayaks- many for the first time. These 3rd Street programs joined other young people from Literacy for Environmental Justice and Parks Rx for a day of community at Jackrabbit Beach in the Candlestick Point State Recreation Area.
3rd StrEATS participates in the San Francisco Public Utility Commission's (SFPUC) Social Impact Program, which connects local business partners to community nonprofits. Watch the short video to see how the SFPUC helped bring critical volunteers to our food access program.
