A Part of the Geos Neighborhood
in Arvada, Colorado
May 2019
The members of Ralston Creek Cohousing are very eager to share our National Cohousing Open House experience with you so we decided to have another open house and site tour on Saturday, May 11, 2019, 1:00-5:00 pm.

One of our members has bought a town home in the Geos Development across the street from the site of the cohousing building, "The Gatehouse".

Come by at your leisure between 1:00 and 5:00 and tour the town home, learn about the net zero energy technology, and meet some of our members to get the scoop on cohousing and the progress of this intentional community.

Get the full details below. We look forward to meeting you!

Open House Day
We toured two cohousing communities in Boulder; Washington Village and Silver Sage. It was a beautiful day and both communities were very welcoming. It is always exciting to visit other cohousing communities and see how they have designed their private and public spaces.

Geos Neighborhood is in a movie!
Watch this short film and learn about how Geos homes are beyond net zero. Developer Norbert Klebl explains building placement, mechanical systems, and plug loads as pieces of the no-fossil-fuels-needed equation. This is why we are so proud to be a part of this exciting project.

Moving the Goats

Geos Neighborhood, the future home of Ralston Creek Cohousing, uses a herd of goats to help control the weeds on areas of the development that have not been built out. The goats do a fantastic job and they need to be moved to a new area of the development after they have eaten everything!
Member Profile

Arnelle Burg

I was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and moved to Denver on a whim in 1978. 40 years later I am still here after multiyear stints in Louisville, KY and Austin, TX.

My degree is in civil engineering but I have also worked as a tax preparer, insurance agent and currently certified as a reflexologist. Since retiring, volunteering at church, doing reflexology for hospice patients, gardening, book clubs and enjoying the Colorado lifestyle with family and friends occupies my time.

I discovered the GEOS development at a Sustainability Fair in Arvada, CO and was introduced to and excited by the cohousing concept. Living in an intentional community appeals to my desire to be in a close neighborhood where people care about each other and the surrounding world. A NetZero development is just icing on the cake
