While it was a little chilly on September 27 in the Bertram Woods Reading Garden, Friends warmed up the evening with propane heaters while Gene Veronesi of Shaker Wines led us on a taste tour of six wonderful wines and Piccolo Italian Restaurant provided a bountiful buffet.

Thank you to all who supported our first foray into wine tasting.

The Friends joined with Shaker Library, Shaker Schools, and Shaker Heights High School PTO to support the October 1 visit by All American Boys authors, Jason Reynolds and Brendan Kiely at Shaker Heights High School.

Pictured at left are Evelyn and Dave Greene who sold books to many happy teenagers who had them autographed by the authors.
