NOTICE FROM THE CLARK COUNTY ASSESSOR:

As homeowners, you are always able to correct your tax cap if it is incorrect. You will not be permanently set at 8%. Once your property becomes your primary residence, your 3% tax cap is set for all billing years going forward. It will only change if you make any changes to the ownership on your parcel (i.e. remove or add someone to title). If you purchased your home after July 1, 2021, you have until June 15, 2023 to correct your tax cap for fiscal year 2022-2023. If you have owned your home on or before July 1, 2021, and your tax cap is incorrect, you may be able to correct it for fiscal year 2021-2022 if it is returned by June 30, 2022.

If it is returned after June 30, 2022 , it will still be corrected for all billing years going forward.

If your tax cap is incorrect, please contact the Assessor’s Office at 702-455-3882 or you can print out a form from our website at www.clarkcountynv.gov/assessor.
