COVID-19 Update
Manitoba Possible continues to keep client, staff, and stakeholder safety top of mind. We've resumed some in-home services with PPE and sanitization standards and continue to use phone and virtual means to conduct client visits where possible. We've developed protocols aligning with the provincial colour coded risk system and look forward to continuing a high level of client service.
We wish you the best during this time, and hope you, your family and friends are staying safe and healthy.
The First Manitoba Possible Annual Report
Though we introduced Manitoba Possible to the world on April 16, 2020, our members first heard about the new name in September 2019 at the Annual Members meeting. We're thrilled to publish the first annual impact report with the Manitoba Possible name.

2019-20 was an incredible year for our organization - we launched a social enterprise, Clean Ventures, to address underemployment for people with disabilities; we partnered with United Way of Brandon to increase recreation and leisure services offered out of our Westman location; our staff were instrumental in the Disability Vote Matters campaign; we hired 5 speech language pathologists to support our services as part of the Jordan's Principle program; the first Superhero Ball fundraiser was held in the Parkland region; and so much more!

You can read all about the highlights of last year, and read about how we're making things possible for clients all throughout the province in the 2019-20 Annual Report by clicking here and scroll down to get a sneak peek of some of the stories featured in the report!
Step up and step out for a better Winnipeg!
On Friday, September 18, United Way Winnipeg is having a virtual fundraiser, and all you have to do is walk around Winnipeg—apart, together. Uniting for the community we love. By channeling this energy and working together, we can build a better community for everyone who lives here.

An Abundance of Caution
Out of an abundance of caution, we postponed our largest fundraising event, Drop Zone. To make up the difference, we've launched the 70 for 70 appeal. Click here to learn more.
Sledge & The Jets
In a first for a Canadian NHL city, sledge hockey players entertained the crowds during a first intermission on February 16, 2020. The Manitoba Possible Sledge Team of players aged 4-12 scrimmaged while Winnipeg Jets fans cheered them on. The game made history in Canadian professional sports and was possible in thanks to Timbit Hockey and The Winnipeg Jets. Read about how the Manitoba Possible team made it happen here.
Level IT Up: The Autism Advantage
Level IT Up is part of a global alliance of businesses, organizations and individuals (known as Neurowrx) who promote greater employment of those on the autism spectrum. This alliance places a strong emphasis in hiring in the tech sector and training for STEM focused careers. Both organizations speak about the “autism advantage,” Anne shares, “It is not a deficit-based perspective on the lived experience, but rather a way of embracing neurodiversity as a necessary and beneficial quality for our society. These advantages lend themselves to many different careers and areas of work where attention to detail, honesty, loyalty, focus, and innovative approaches to problem solving bring distinct competitive advantages.”
