Capital City Classic Road Race - June 23rd
Sign up for the 
Capital City Classic 10K road race, held during Concord Market Days, where 50% of funds raised will support the Friends Program.

Annual Golf Tournament

Our 21st annual Golf Tournament, to benefit the Youth Mentoring Program, will be held on
Monday, September 10th at the Concord Country Club.

Heritage Harley Davidson Community BBQ
Saturday, August 18th
Jump on your bike (cars welcome too) on Saturday, August 18th from 11AM-3PM and stop by to enjoy the Friends Program Community BBQ at the  Heritage Harley-Davidson dealership in Concord located at  
142 Manchester Street.  
T here will be food and drinks available by donation and a 50/50 raffle to support the Friends Youth Mentoring Program.  We look forward to seeing you there!

We Want YOU!

Do you want to support the Friends Program by getting more involved? Are you interested in seniors having meaningful opportunities to volunteer in their community?

If yes, we are looking for volunteers to serve on the RSVP Advisory Committee, which provides input and advise to staff and Board of Trustee members on the RSVP Program.

If you are interested in learning more about this volunteer opportunity, contact Susan Smith, Senior Programs Director, for more information.

Do you belong to a neighborhood group, service organization, or workplace giving collaborative?  If so, we would love to be a guest speaker at an upcoming meeting to let others know what the Friends Program does.

Youth Mentoring Orientations

Make a difference in the life of a Merrimack County young person and be a mentor. The first step is attending an orientation that will introduce you to our program and outline what's involved. 

Upcoming orientation:
Tuesday, June 26th (Teens Only)
Wednesday, July 18th
Thursday, August 9th

Orientations are from 4:30-7pm (Teen Orientation is 1-3:30pm) at the Friends Program office, 202 North State Street, Concord.

Lone Wolf Cruisers 

The Lone Wolf Cruisers club has been a supporter of the Friends Program for years. The club is dedicated to the preservation of early antique cars, muscle cars, street rods, and any other car that may be considered collectible
According to Club Secretary Cody Dumont, "The club's favorite charity is the Friends Program of Concord. As the Friends program provides immediate help to local families, and facilities many youth programs."

RSVP Food Insecurity Project Fundraiser 
In partnership with the Concord Food Co-op and New London Food Co-op, $2 reusable bags are being sold in the stores with $1 from each sale benefiting our RSVP Food Insecurity Project.  
Help the environment and reduce food insecurity at the same time.  Bags only cost $2 each and the fundraiser ends June 30th!

The Friends Program along with various community agencies will be at Keach Park for Family Fun Day on Friday, June 22nd starting at 11AM through 2PM.

There will be fun activities for parents, grandparents, caregivers, and kids, including food and giveaways! Special thanks to all the event sponsors listed on the Family Fun Day flyer!

Youth Mentoring Match Activity

The Youth Mentoring Program thanks dancer Molly Henry for sharing her expertise on jazz and ballet with several of our matches. Mentors and mentees enjoyed learning some basic dance moves and practicing some choreographed combinations!

The Backpack Program at Penacook Elementary School received a $2,000 grant from the Globe Community Fund of the NH Charitable Foundation, which will help provide backpacks of nutritious weekend food for children in need throughout the school year. "The generosity of this grant fills our hearts with gratitude knowing that we will be able to continue this vital program for these children, now and in the future," Fran Philippe, Backpack Program Coordinator and Friends RSVP volunteer.
