Dear Friends of CASA:

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and CASA of Denton County is raising awareness about how, with your help, we can work toward the goal of a safe, nurturing environment for every child. Our staff and volunteers work tirelessly to advocate for the children affected by abuse or neglect, and we couldn't do this work without the commitment of our supporters and community partners who help us make an impact each day.

What are the ways you can help? One way you can get involved is by signing up to attend an information session to learn about becoming a CASA. If that isn't a good fit, you could make a financial contribution, volunteer or attend one of our special events like Pulling for Kids, or attend one of the many Community Partner Events below that have been planned during Child Abuse Prevention Month.

In whatever capacity you choose to join us in the fight against child abuse and neglect--THANK YOU!

Sincerely,

Debbie Jensen

Executive Director

Meet Board President, Kay Schroeder

We sat down with CASA of Denton County Board President Kay Schroder to learn why the mission of CASA is important to her and what she's looking forward to most this year.

Why do you think it's important for our local community to support CASA?

It all starts with the family unit…they are the foundation of our community, and we cannot have a strong community without a strong foundation. What we do to improve families affects not only that particular family, but generations after.
