Trail Information from our new display board (used at Hilltop Bean Dinner June 28):

The Camp Chase Trail is a paved multi-use trail in Franklin and Madison counties.  As of June 2014 it is 50% complete (7.5 miles) and it will be about 15 miles when completed.  Trail users such as bicyclists, hikers, runners, rollerbladers and other groups such as bird watchers and nature lovers have the opportunity to explore the natural beauty of Central Ohio as the trail weaves its way across the Capital City region.

The entire length of the Camp Chase Trail is part of the the 330-mile Ohio to Erie Trail connecting Cincinnati and Cleveland and the U.S. Bicycle Route 50 , a west-east bicycle route across the middle of Ohio connecting Indiana to West Virginia.

The Southwest portion of the trail is complete and the current trailhead closest to Westgate Park [Where this display was located] is within Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park at 8465 Alkire Road.  GIS Coordinates: 39.893428, -83.215835 map: https://goo.gl/maps/nBY7O
