Friends of Fiest August & September Update
Even though we could not physically be at Fiest to volunteer this year, our Friends of Fiest group has accomplished a lot to support the students and staff already this year.
***If you are not on our Friends of Fiest email list from last year, and would like to join us this year to help with any socially distanced projects,
please contact Deb Stutsman 281-543-7895
We would love to have you join our group of volunteers!

August School Supply Drive
Due to the generous support of our church, we were able to collect enough school supplies and cash donations from the church to deliver a van full of school supplies to Fiest. This will stock our Cornerstone Closet to help students who need supplies at the beginning of the year, and give us funds to replenish items as needed throughout the year!
We also were able to buy needed supplies for the school clinic to make ice packs for comforting kids with booboos.
Making Mask Holders
for Students and Staff
We had a great group of 11 different volunteers who worked on our mask holder distanced assembly line-- contributing about 100 hours of labor over several days!
We created 600 ribbons with 4 snaps each, to be used by students and staff so face masks can hang around the neck when not wearing them at school. This should keep masks cleaner and everyone healthier at Fiest!
Cards for Calm and Staff Treat Bags
Thanks to 7 creative and dedicated Friends of Fiest volunteers, we were able to make an encouraging card for each of the 120 staff members at Fiest. This was a labor of love and took days for them to be completed. Each card was attached to a treat bag of goodies, and delivered to Fiest on the 2nd week with students on campus. It was reported that there were sounds of ohhs and ahhs, and excitement coming from the mailroom as the staff members opened their cards and treat bag.
Bus Buddies--
Treat Bag and Note to Bus Drivers
Since we could not be there this year to support the bus drivers on the first few days as Bus Buddies, we made a little treat bag for them to encourage them as they begin the school year.
