Adoptables Spotlight

Lucille (aka Lucy) - 7 month-old, female Pit Bull mix

Lucy loves toys and knows how to share & play appropriately. Lucy enjoys being outside and going for walks, but sometimes she just wants to sit with you and cuddle. She has a very sweet personality and is eager to please. Lucy's foster family is working with her on basic commands - she already knows sit! Her new family will be happy to make the commitment to training classes, daily exercise, and lots of TLC. For more information, contact Marissa at
madaccpets@gmail.com and specify Lucy, ID number A240278.

Godiva - 10 month-old, female Tortoiseshell

Meet Godiva, a stunning Tortie that is petite as can be. Brought to MADACC while in labor, Godiva stepped up to the plate and is doing a great job in foster care with her three babies. In two weeks, Godiva (and her kittens) will be able to go to a loving, forever home - but we are accepting applications for her NOW! For more information, contact Marissa at madaccpets@gmail.com and specify Godiva, ID number A241915.

Animal Advocates Come in All Ages!

Ten-year-old Haley Lukasavage of Wisconsin Dells has a great passion for animals and knew she wanted to do a lot to help homeless animals. With a little inspiration from a small dog bank, Haley set up the banks all around her grandparents' business in the Dells with signs asking people to donate change to help the animals. After collecting funds for a few months, Haley's efforts raised a whopping $1,000 - which she split between a local humane society near her - and donated $800 to Friends of MADACC towards enrichment items for the shelter dogs and cats! From Haley's donation, FOM purchased cat scratchers, cat toys, Jolly Balls for the new outdoor play area, Kongs and treat inserts, bones, Bully Sticks, and more.

Now THAT shows just how much a little effort can go SO far for helping shelter animals - MADACC's homeless cats and dogs send you a BIG thank you, Haley!

2013 Friends of MADACC Calendar

Friends of MADACC will again be creating a calendar for 2013 that will feature pets adopted from MADACC as a way to recognize the lives saved and celebrate second chances. If you have adopted directly from MADACC since July 2011 and are interested in having your pet's picture included in the calendar, please email Laura Nigbur at lauranbf@yahoo.com for more information. There is no cost to participate, and all species are welcome!
