Please remind all neighbors, (businesses as well as residents) that to make this a great neighborhood, we need to make it safe and pleasant for pedestrians. Nathan, the manager of Dunkin Donuts put his team to work getting their stretch of the sidewalk clear - and they've even adopted the bus stop on Deering. This had been a problem for years- people had to walk into traffic on Deering Avenue to navigate getting to the corner or getting on the bus. The problem was that the staff at DD didn't know they were responsible for the sidewalk around the corner. All it took was a neighborly conversation about the obligation.
Join the Maine Women’s Lobby and Woodfords Club for a film screening of She’s Beautiful When She’s Angry! The film explores the women’s movement from 1966 to 1971, giving us inspiration for our future. The film will be followed by an interactive discussion about how you can get involved in activism in your community!
