I'm excited to share a few upcoming Friends of the Library activities and opportunities for you to consider.

Join us tomorrow, Tuesday, November 14th, at 11 am for our monthly Friends of the Library meeting at the Library. Everyone is welcome to participate in our monthly business meetings, held every second Tuesday. These gatherings typically last 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Your presence and input are highly valued.

Help us relocate the Mercer Public Library StoryWalk on Tuesday, November 14th, from MECCA Trails to its new winter home at the Carol Hanneman Mercer School Forest on Martha Lake Rd.

Join us after the Friends meeting, around 12:30 or 1 pm. We'll start by removing and loading the story boards at MECCA Trails, then we'll drive to the School Forest to place the boards on the trail. We're looking for able-bodied volunteers to assist with the process. Please wear work gloves, and if you have a socket set and/or a sledgehammer, bring them along.

Explore the Giving Tuesday page on the Mercer Public website. Giving Tuesday, on November 28, 2023, is a global day dedicated to fostering generosity. It presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to your favorite causes, including the Friends of the Mercer Public Library.

READY your ovens for our much-anticipated annual cookie exchange on Friday, December 15th at 2 pm. SET the stage by preparing three dozen of your most delightful holiday cookies. Then, GO full festive by bringing your batch to the library, where you can exchange your treats for three dozen equally scrumptious cookies baked by fellow enthusiasts. It's a ready, set, go for a celebration of holiday flavors!
