Belonging, Growing, and Serving
Sunday, November 20 at Noon
Maybe you are a newcomer to Friendship Church, or maybe you are feeling quite at home. The three parts of our seminar series have content we want
everybody
to experience. The two-hour seminars are focused on:
1.) Belonging
- understanding our church's purpose and mission.
2.) Growing
- learning the habits, skills, and tools for spiritual growth.
3.) Serving
- finding your place in ministry.
Choose one of the three seminars.
Getting a handle on these basic aspects of Christian life can make a huge difference. The seminars will be offered at Noon-2 pm. Lunch will be provided. There's no cost and it's a great next step into your new church home. RSVP by registering online HERE or contacting the church office.

At the Fall Kickoff we will gather at 7:00 pm -- November 17th in the Saltz Ministry house to enjoy some good food and meet other Young Adult/College-age students, pick a Life Group Bible study, and plan some future events like retreats and mission opportunities.
Got questions? Contact Breanna Petersen 734-787-6402 or Scott Petersen 734-776-8355

There's Room For You!
It might seem that we have everything covered at Friendship Church -- there's always coffee
on Sunday
mornings, a worship band on stage, and people to greet you at the door and give you a name tag. We run some awesome children's and youth ministry program every week and have frequent activities and events for fellowship and service. Maybe you come to church
on Sunday
, notice everything seems to run pretty smoothly, and decide that your help isn't needed...
Actually, it is! We're currently in the process of looking for new leaders for several of our ministry teams and we know that there are some very talented, enthusiastic people in our church just waiting to be asked to step into a leadership position. What we don't know is who they are! If you're someone who has the gift of leadership and the ability to rally people toward a goal, we need you! We have openings at various levels -- multi-campus strategy leaders as well as campus specific ministry leaders - these are opportunities to have input and influence over the way ministry happens at Friendship Church. If this sounds like something you feel called to, please contact Jan Goble
(734) 495-3446 or the church office
(734) 710-9370.

Living Nativity
The Living Nativity is Friendship Church's largest outreach. Last year more than 1300 people attended the event between the Canton and Shelby. To make this event happen, it takes dozens of people to help with organizing and setting it up. If you can help make this outreach ministry a success, please contact the church office HERE or 734.710.9370. There are projects that can be completed during the work week day or evening, and Saturday's morning or evening.

Men's Annual Brinner
Please come on Monday, December 19 at 6:30pm for Breakfast for dinner. Eat bacon and sausage without your wife saying"that's enough," rather, be with men that will say after you pile a bunch on, "you call that enough?" There will be dinner, a short program, a quiz intended on making you feel dumb, and a white elephant exchange, which is completely voluntarily (gift between $10 and $20). Hope to see you there!

November/December Giving Tree
The Giving Tree in the lobby will soon be covered in angels for the Salvation Army. These are gift ideas for things the Salvation Army would like to have in stock in their Christmas Shop, where income-qualified parents are able to shop for gifts for their kids for free. (If you prefer to buy for specific people, talk to Dyane Townley about adopt-a-family options this year.)
Adopt-A-Family for Christmas: In November, Friendship Church will be adopting families for Christmas. This is a commitment to provide (at a minimum) one new toy and one new piece of clothing for every child in the family as well as a special Christmas meal (or the means to get one.) It also involves talking with the parent(s) in your adopted family to determine what gifts would be most appreciated and how to most sensitively deliver your gifts in December. Please talk to your small group to decide how many families you would like to adopt. If you are not in a small group, get a group together to adopt a family or let us help you connect with others! To sign up to adopt a family or to get more information, please contact Dyane Townley at
town622@att.net.
Operation Christmas Child
Still time to get in your Operation Christmas Child boxes. Last day is
Sunday November 13. Please add $7.00 shipping to your box.

Friendship Kids Promiseland
Adventureland (Pre-K - Kindergarten)
Current Series: The King and the Kingdom
In this unit, kids will learn that Jesus is the best teacher because He teaches us how to live God's way. When we obey Jesus, it's like building a house on a super strong rock. Look in the Bible to find out what Jesus teaches!
Kid City (1st - 3rd Grade) Current Series: Follow Jesus
Jesus chose twelve disciples to follow Him while He lived on earth. And kids can be disciples today, too! Jesus' original twelve disciples could copy His example because they lived with Him, spent time with Him, and listened to Him every day. We can be Jesus' disciples today when we choose Him to be our Lord, learn from Him, get to know Him, copy Him, and grow fruit to bring God glory!
Impact (4th - 5th Grade) Current Series: Down To Earth
What does it really look like to be a disciple? What does it even mean? A disciple is someone who follows Christ and tries to live like He lived. This series is all about helping students understand what it means to be a disciple of Christ and live like Him in everyday life.
