One year of service

Thank You, DONORS!

Our generous donors helped us raise over 86K in honor of National Widows Day at our Family Friendzy Event!

Your donations are essential to sustain WPRP and help more families this year! We raised enough to offer a one-year partnership to at least one new family per month for this next year!

THANK YOU, VOLUNTEERS! You truly demonstrated, "It Takes A Village"

IF YOU WENT TO THE FRIENDZY, WOULD YOU PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT AND TELL US YOUR THOUGHTS? https://forms.gle/bkSPNnPGqtSHSQuA6

Partnership Highlight

We are so grateful!

Fellowship Church's Build Together team took care of two BIG deck projects for our families, as well as provided financial assistance to bless our families and help us offer enduring support.

Ezekiel, from Rocship, updates our website upon request & has agreed to help us with a refreshed web design coming soon!

Thank You, Zoo Knoxville!

Zoo Knoxville hosted our wrap-up event on May 3rd, National Widows Day. Many of our families came out to see some animals, hear from parents who just finished their one-year partnership with WPRP and enjoy some treats.Thank you to the wonderful staff that made this a great night together!

Thank you to Jenny Martinez Photography!

Family Horse Event

One of WPRP's goals is to offer community to our widowed families. Spending time together with people who are in similar storms is one way to help families feel they are not alone.

One of our AMAZING Family Friends, Sarah Brede, offers a horse summer camp and riding to homeschoolers during the school year through her company, Saddle Soars (865.250.7385). She opened up her farm for our families to come learn and ride horses, eat pizza and cupcakes, and enjoy some conversation while the kids partook in crafts.

Some of the Family Friends and board members helped host and supervise the kids. It was a great day!

How to Support a Widowed Parent on Father’s Day

"If you’re worried that you will somehow remind them of their deceased partner, don’t—they couldn’t possibly forget."

An awesome article from optionb.org about how to help and listen to widow(er)s on Father's Day and also throughout the year....Read Full Article HERE.
