Fright Night Returns to Downtown Fort Wayne!
 
 
 
Fright Night is Saturday, October 19th
from 10 a.m. - Midnight!
 
Fright Night returns to downtown Fort Wayne this Saturday. This annual event is fun for the family and never fails to disappoint. Each year we witness thousands of homemade zombies come out and fill the streets, businesses, and events of downtown. Take a moment to view the schedules, the maps, and RSVP on Facebook. We will see you on Saturday for a wickedly good time!

Sweet So Geek is holding a Brain Eating Contest
at ACPL plaza at 3:30 p.m. on Fright Night!

Brains are made of white chocolate and filled with cherry. We will have three rounds, each with three participants to eat two brains as fast as they can. The winner from each round will go on to the finals to eat four brains as quickly as they can. Winning Prize is a family pass for four to Science Central!  

15 names will be drawn for the contest!
(Nine will participate and six will be alternates.)

Into the Darkness


When: October 19, 7 p.m.
Where: Arts United Center

Fort Wayne Dance Collective presents its fifth annual Halloween concert, Into the Dark(ness). This is a dance concert to chill your bones!

Zombie Photo Booth


Keep an eye out for the Zombie Photo Booth that will be open from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. near the ACPL on Fright Night. The DID will be taking free photos and posting them on our Facebook!
 
Braineaters' Ball


When: October 19th, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Where: Cinema Center

Braineaters' Ball offers a horrifyingly good mix of fun for all ages with their annual event! Bravas will be serving up zombie-themed dogs right outside Cinema Center!

Explore the Old Jail

 

 

When: October 19, 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Where: The History Center

Explore the Old Jail in the History Center and see the history of what was once termed by the Chicago Tribune as "the most lawless city in Indiana". Tickets are $2 per person.

Blood Drive

Where: 900 Library Plaza

Where: Downtown ACPL

 

Stop by Young Adults' Services at the Main Library to make the perfect spooky, glamorous, or ghoulish button to complete your Halloween ensemble for FREE!

Phantom of the Opera

 


When: October 19, 7 p.m.
Where: Embassy Theatre

  

Featuring Dennis James on the Grande Page Organ!  This 1925 black and white starred Lon Chaney in the title role as the deformed Phantom who haunts the Paris Opera House, causing murder and mayhem in an attempt to force the management to make the woman he loves a star!

Rocky Horror Picture Show


When: October 19, 8 p.m.
Where: Botanical Conservatory

Let's do the time warp agaaaaain! The movie will be shown outside on the Terrace, weather permitting; please dress accordingly. Please do not bring outside food or beverages; refreshments available for purchase. Children under 17 must be accompanied by an adult guardian. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the movie starts at 9:15 p.m.

Halloween Ball

Where: The FreeMason's Hall

 

Enjoy a night of haunting fun! $25 general admission or $35 will get you in the door for the party and a ghost tour of the building. Tickets are limited! Enjoy music, dancing, & a cash bar! Come in a costume! Prizes will be awarded!

Science on a Sphere


 

When: October 19, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Where: Science Central

 

Found at Science Central, Science On a Sphere is a dynamic, animated global display system developed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). It uses computers and video projectors to show planetary data on a six-foot diameter sphere.

4th Annual Monster Mash

Where: The Philmore

Step back in time as the Philmore recreates the "roar of the 20's" this Halloween. There will be a photo booth, dancing, food, cash bar, and more! All costumes welcome!
