Village Center Parking Lot Closures

The Village Center West Parking Lot (in front of Grand Ballrooms D & E) will be closed at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 15 through Monday, October 16.

The Village Center East Parking Lot (in front of the Bocce Ball Courts) will be closed at 8 p.m. on Monday, October 16 through Tuesday, October 17.

It is very important that cars are not left in these lots as it will delay the project.

Rodent Infestation

Due to the frequent weather changes and local construction, we have had an increase in the number of rodents searching for a new place to live. Rodents are attracted to food and water sources as well as places that are convenient for them to build nests. Seal up nesting sites and food sources outside your home. The following are additional steps recommended at the first sign of rodents:

  • Clean up garbage around your house. Use a thick plastic or metal garbage can with no holes and a tight lid. The garbage can should be kept in the garage or an enclosed area.
  • Keep outside cooking areas and grills clean.
  • Keep bird feeders away from the house and use squirrel guards to limit access to the feeder by squirrels and other rodents. Feed only huskless items that leave less residue that can be food for rodents.
  • Clean up brush and weeds around your home. Keep grass and shrubbery within 100 feet of your home well-trimmed.
  • Make sure pet food is not left outside.

Do not place rodenticide baits outside bait station/container where pets or wildlife may get to them. To prevent accidental poisoning, promptly remove and dispose of dead rodents. Do not let pets wander off-leash or outside of fenced yard or home so they do not come into contact with any poison.

Committee and BoD meetings are open to all Frisco Lakes residents.

We would like to hear from you, Frisco Lakes Family! We will post a different poll question each week to gather your thoughts and opinions.

Village Center Circle Landscape

The Village Center Circle Landscape Project was completed in August 2023. After much deliberation, we added color, a variety of plants, and luscious grass to embellish the entrance of the Village Center. Here is a list of the plants and grass we used for the circle landscape: Bordeaux Dwarf Yaupon Holly, Sunshine Ligustrum, Alternanthera Yellow, Cora Red Vinca, Princess Caroline Napier Grass, Crape Myrtle Natchez 100 Gallon.

Do you like the look of the landscaping for the Village Center Circle?
Yes, it looks much better now.
No, it looked better before.
I didn't even notice a change!

Last Week's Poll Results

In response to last week's poll, "Would you like the Board of Directors' meeting time changed to later in the evening," here are the results:

  • No - 38%
  • Yes - 34%
  • I don't care - 28%

Frisco Lakes Website vs. Active Net

The Community Association office receives a number of questions about the Frisco Lakes website (www.friscolakes.net) versus Active Net. These are two separate websites. Active Net is the activity registration website. Your Username (or Login ID) on the Frisco Lakes website can be anything (as long as it is unique). Your Username (or Login ID) on Active Net is always your email address.

If you have turned in your new homeowner paperwork and have a badge and a fob, you have an Active Net account. You must request an account on the Frisco Lakes website by going to www.friscolakes.net, clicking on CREATE NEW ACCOUNT, and filling out the information. An email will then be sent to our Administrative Coordinator who will confirm you are a resident. The Administrative Coordinator will email you when your account has been created.
