MEET NEW PPIHC BOARD MEMBER
Robb Holland
| | |
Robb Holland has raced on Pikes Peak for nearly a decade. Based in Denver, Colorado, Holland owns 3R Performance, Rotek racing, and has been an automotive Journalist for Jalopnik, Road & Track, Autoblog and Grassroots Motorsports.
In 2016, the 100th Anniversary of the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, Holland made his first attempt at the 14,115' summit. In an impressive rookie run, he finished 4th in the Time Attack 1 division in his Audi TTRS, setting a front-wheel-drive record that stood for two years - 10:56.878.
| "It's been great to work with you all from the competitor side," Holland shared. "Now I'm excited to learn what it takes behind the scenes, and to contribute to the success of this great event." | |
Holland has experience behind the wheel of Audi, Corvette and Porsche on Pikes Peak. He was also part of the PPIHC's Mastering the Mountain series, where drivers narrated their most memorable runs.
In 2024, Holland was eager to move to the first Pikes Peak GT4 Trophy by Yokohama division, racing his 2023 Porsche 718 GT4 RS Clubsport taking second in the naturally aspirated class.
This year, Holland claimed his first division win on the mountain. In his 2023 Porsche GT3 Cup car, he finished the shortened course in 04:24.478 to top the Time Attack 1 division.
| Racing on Pikes Peak is only one dimension of Holland’s career. His Rotek Racing team captured the 2024 championships in both GT America and GT4 America with the season finale in Indianapolis. | |
Asked about a favorite track he shared, "The Nürburgring. I was one of the first Americans to move over to the Nürburgring full-time, and I have a number of class victories in the VLN series."
Welcome Robb!

| | In 1956, the PPIHC gave away the Desoto Convertible Pikes Peak Pace Car to a lucky fan! And they didn't even need to be present to win. The driver was listed at Mr. A.E. Kimberly. It's interesting to note that the Princess Power candidates from 1956 rode along in the convertible, with one sitting on the back of the seat waving to the crowd at 16 Mile! | Santa even got a ride in this souped-up sleigh with a couple of his elves. PPIHC Director, Lloyd Faddis is pictured behind the wheel, below, in this photo from the 1956 race program. | |
There is no record of the winner. If you know who received this shiny ride in 1956, we'd love to hear the story and add it to our archives.
Shown below is an advertisement about the race and the giveaway.
