Those serving as officials for more than 5 years were given years of service pins. Bob Dodd received a pin for his 50 years of dedication. FRAMEABLE MOMENTS WITH LARRY CHEN
"This photo was taken on the lower section of the mountain at the hairpin corner right above 11 Mile. This section is usually covered with trees so it's rare to see an open area like this one that shows the Catamount reservoirs off in the distance. The driver, Robin Shute, is also flying through this section as it was also his first time running the Yokohama Super Formula tires."

On August 15th, join us in wishing a happy 75th birthday to PPIHC Hall of Famer, Leonard Vahsholtz, who established a racing dynasty on Pikes Peak that continues to this day. He notched 18 wins in 33 years, including two wins in 1993, (both record-setting) on the same day.
| |
Vahsholtz raced on Pikes Peak from 1977 through 2008, championing the Ford brand in a Torino, Fairmont, Thunderbird, Probe, F150, Explorer and Bronco.
Three generations of Vahsholtz racers have accumulated more division wins than any other family in the history of the event.
Happy 75th Leonard!
