PPIHC COMPETITORS TALK ENGINEERING
AT COOL SCIENCE
| |
Students and families enjoyed a science-themed morning at Penrose Heritage Museum on October 12 as part of the Cool Science Festival and PPIHC's Tom Osborne Community Outreach program. Three PPIHC competitors, also engineers, offered interesting exhibits and answered questions. Dan Novembre and his crew chief, Patrick, offered a chance to learn more about his 013 Wolf GB08S TC Special; Tim Eckert created a display of electric power and showcased his battery-powered race car which is on permanent display. Don Sanborn created a small course for students to race with remote-controlled cars and calculate their elapsed time over two practice runs, and a 'race' run. FRAMEABLE MOMENTS
WITH LARRY CHEN
| |
“I love shooting this exact photo because of the way all four roads appear in a single frame. I've shot so many race tracks all over the world, but there's no place that looks like this. I also really like the fact that the scene itself changes throughout the day. In this case it was a bit overcast which allowed for all four roads to be evenly lit.”
