December, 2018 - In This Issue:
From the Desk of Our Executive Director
In the blink of an eye, another year has gone by. While this past year at 4Cs has been full of celebrations and goodbyes, as I sit here counting down the days until the new year I am reminded of the thousands of lives positively impacted by 4Cs' staff and programs in 2018. With your help and support, 4Cs provided child care payment assistance to thousands of families who could otherwise not afford child care on their own including families facing homelessness and those with children in the foster care system. Hundreds of families were assisted monthly in their search for the right child care for their little ones as our resource and referral specialists walked them through what can be an overwhelming process. Hundreds of child care providers were given support and attended trainings, enhancing their skills and the quality of care. Others came to 4Cs to participate in our playgroups, attend community meetings and workshops, participate in our pilot diaper giveaway program, get their taxes prepared and filed for free, attend the Children's Faire, or register for CalFresh. No matter how you partnered with 4Cs of Alameda County in 2018, we are grateful for your support. Cheers to a happy, healthy, and equally productive 2019!

Be Well,

Renee S. Herzfeld
