Please join us at an enlightening seminar facilitated by Marilyn Loy Every, DMin, CSL, exploring the concept of Age-ing to Sage-ing: Emergence of the Sage, envisioned by Sage-ing International's founder, Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi.

Reb Zalman's revolutionary approach to growing older is grounded in examining attitudes and fears about aging, connecting to inner wisdom, nourishing ourselves holistically, and practicing the attributes of a "Sage."

As we step into this novel approach, it is essential to recognize the emergence of the Sage archetype today, besides looking deeply into the effects of ageism and prejudices infused in society and perhaps internalized in our own lives. Three vitally important aspects in supporting the Sage-ing paradigm of aging are promoted by Sage-ing International through learning, service, and in community.

Key elements of this seminar are to:

Explore the concept of "age-ing to sage-ing" as inspired by founder Reb Zalman
Discover ways to connect to inner wisdom
Discern means to nourish oneself during mature years
Examine the prevalence and effects of ageism and internalized beliefs
Gain knowledge about key attributes of a “Sage”
Learn about the pillars of Sage-ing International that support the Sage-ing paradigm

Facilitator

Marilyn Loy Every, DMin, CSL DMin in Wisdom Studies with an emphasis on aging, MA in Counseling Psychology, and MS in Audiology. Her “heart vocation” is her Spiritual Companioning private practice to which she brings an innovative spirit. On behalf of Sage-ing International, Marilyn is a Co-Coordinator for the online Spiritual Companioning Wisdom Circle and a member of the Executive Emeritus Circle of Leaders.

As a Certified Sage-ing Leader, Marilyn is dedicated to supporting an affirmative paradigm of aging to one of honor, purpose, and meaningful fulfillment. Marilyn is the author of three books: Women and the Liberating Journey of Aging: Awakening fire in the heart; and, two poetry books: Fire in the Well and Tending the Fire. Marilyn facilitates seminars, retreats, and classes that focus on potent aging topics.

Her home is in the Pacific Northwest, USA, where her heart is at home in its powerful natural beauty that inspires her muse, her spirituality, and her work in the world.
