POPS GoFundMe

Please consider supporting a fellow small business association, People of Parkside Sunset...

POPS is dedicated to supporting the Taraval Street community of merchants and residents by advocating for neighborhood improvements, engaging with City agencies and elected officials, and hosting monthly meetings to keep the community informed. The organization is also known for its signature events — Movies at McCoppin and the Taraval Christmas Tree Lighting — which bring joy and connection to the neighborhood and visitors alike.

This year, POPS faces a significant budget shortfall and is seeking community support to continue these beloved programs. Contributions can be made through GoFundMe to help ensure these events remain a cherished part of Parkside Sunset’s community life.

2 Blocks of Art

Before the Art Walk began, a lively kickoff party was held at the newly opened Timbri Hotel, drawing a large crowd of small business owners, community organizations, and neighbors to celebrate the start of the weekend’s festivities.

2 Blocks of Art took place on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., featuring a vibrant mix of visual art, live music, and interactive experiences. A highlight of the day was the exhibit by the California Historical Radio Society & Museum, showcasing beautifully crafted radios from the 1930s and beyond. Their intricate designs and materials offered a fascinating glimpse into the era when people gathered to listen to shortwave broadcasts from around the world.

Special recognition goes to Tracy Everwine, Helene Sautou, and our Vice President Laura Kudritzki for curating and organizing this outstanding event.
