This past October, you stood united with My Sister’s Place during Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). This year, our focus was on raising awareness, and the community response was nothing short of inspiring.
From our annual “Paint the Town Purple” event at Columbia Heights metro station, to the solidarity at The Madison’s Fall Fête gala, and to the digital DVAM art campaign from Accenture employees, you helped us raise support and awareness for survivors of domestic violence.
We are also so grateful to everyone who came out to paint a community mural with messages of hope at American University, and we are still celebrating the AXO Kickoff Soccer Tournament that raised an astounding $15,000 this DVAM.
Addressing domestic violence is a community effort, and we can’t thank you enough for doing your part to stand with us against domestic violence this DVAM.
