SJ26: Downtown Business Toolkit Available | | |
The SJDA has just launched the 2026 Downtown Business Toolkit, designed to help downtown businesses thrive ahead of major 2026 events like Super Bowl LX and the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The toolkit offers practical resources including a Public‑Screening Playbook, marketing checklists, promotional ideas, event‑planning guides, and access to free downloadable posters and table toppers.
Whether you run a restaurant, retail shop, or service business, this toolkit can help you tap into the influx of visitors and leverage opportunities tied to SJ2026.
| | Concerts Approved at PayPal Park | | PayPal Park received approval to host up to 15 concerts per year at the venue starting in 2026. Concerts support the broader ecosystem of arts, culture, and entertainment in San Jose, a goal of the Chamber. The events also support broader economic development, driving business to hotels, restaurants, bars and other small businesses. San Jose Chamber Board Chair Rob Lindo was quoted in the paper, noting that “Additional concerts will grow transient occupancy tax, sales tax and business activity, which creates new revenue streams that support essential public services without requiring new taxes.” | | Chamber Joins Coalition Opposing Antitrust Proposals | | The Chamber joined a coalition of business groups opposing antirust proposals deemed harmful to business. The California Law Review Commission’s (CLRC) proposals seek to regulate industry beyond the requirements of the federal government and threaten California’s startup ecosystem. We’re happy to join California Life Sciences, SAMCEDA, Bay Area Council, and others in coalition to support California’s businesses. | | Network Building & Member Opportunities | | 12/4 Ribbon Cutting: Empire Armadillo Grand Opening | | |
Come celebrate the grand opening of Empire Armadillo, the newest addition to San Jose’s dining scene, now serving at the former Armadillo Willy’s location on Blossom Hill. This reinvented space honors a neighborhood favorite while introducing a bold fusion of Texas-style barbecue and NYC deli classics under one roof.
Grand Opening Specials: Free samples all day, plus a free side for the first 50 lunch and dinner guests.
Ribbon Cutting: 4:30–5:30 PM with the Chamber, community members, and city representatives.
