Most recently Daphne served a
s transitional pastor at
Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church
in East Hampton, CT. She served as pastor of
Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Hamden, CT from 2012
- 2018.
Much of Daphne's ministry has been focused on college chaplaincy and high school ministry. She served as chaplain at Mary Washington College, The University of Richmond, The University of Chicago, St. Paul's School, in Concord, NH, and The Williston Northampton School in Easthampton.
"Having grown up in the Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Massachusetts, been a Roman Catholic in college and seminary, and ordained as a Lutheran pastor, I have often referred to myself as a 'walking ecumenical dialogue,'" Daphne writes. "It gives me great joy to embody our Call to Common Mission and 'return home' to the Episcopal Church by serving as Priest-in-Charge of Trinity Episcopal Church in Chicopee." Daphne is married to Lisa
Martinell and they are moving our way with their corgi, Idgie, and their cat, Charlie.
Daphne is an experienced pastor, a passionate preacher, and deeply committed to the work of justice. Our ongoing collaboration with the NE Synod of the ELCA continues to be a blessing. May the people of Trinity Episcopal Church, and their new priest-in-charge, share a mutual ministry that is marked by the hope and joy of Easter.
