Palm Sunday

Saturday, April 9 at 5:30 pm

Sunday, April 10 at 8 & 10 am

This solemn day marks the beginning of Holy Week. We begin by witnessing Jesus' triumphal procession into the city of Jerusalem, where the people greeted Jesus enthusiastically, waving palm branches. It ends with the confusion and fear that leads to the cross. The passion narrative will be read.

Maundy Thursday Bulletin.png

Maundy Thursday

April 14 at 5:30 pm

On Maundy Thursday, we hear John’s powerful account of Jesus’ last meal with his friends. We witness the Lord and Teacher washing the feet of his disciples. We remember His “new” commandment (Maundy being the Latin word for commandment) “that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.” The Choir sings "O Taste and See" by Ralph Vaughan Williams (Dana Clearwater soprano solo.)

Good Friday.png

Good Friday

April 15 at 5:30 pm

Stations of the Cross, 2 pm

Traditionally a solemn day of fasting and penance, Good Friday commemorates the passion, or suffering and death on the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. We remember the suffering He endured for our sake. We are reminded of the depths of His love for us so that we could receive the gift of eternal life.

Great Vigil Bulletin.png

The Great Vigil of Easter

April 16 at 8 pm

(No 5:30 pm service)

A new fire is kindled and the Paschal candle lit. Then, on a journey from darkness to light, we hear the history of salvation from the fall in the Garden of Eden, to the new hope that comes with Jesus’ resurrection. Our Easter joy is crowned as we gather around Jesus’ table to share his life once more in the bread of life and cup of salvation. We celebrate the Resurrection with the "Exsultet" intoned by Gene Tobey.

HEALTH & WELLNESS

Spiritual Corner

By Yvonne Tso, spiritual companion/director and member of the Health & Wellness Team

Behind our house is a pond with a fountain. On days when it is sunny and I look at the fountain from a certain angle, there is a rainbow in that fountain! I am surprised every time, because I don’t know exactly what angle to look from, and so I don’t know exactly when I will see the rainbow.
