As we head into the new year, one of the Chamber’s top priorities remains SB 84 — a bill that would give small businesses 120 days to fix certain accessibility issues before they can be sued.
Right now, many businesses are getting hit with lawsuits without any warning. SB 84 aims to give owners a fair chance to make corrections first, rather than facing immediate legal costs. We’re continuing to meet with elected officials and gather stories from businesses affected by these claims to show why this change is urgently needed.
