This month has been full of meaningful connections, learning opportunities, and celebrations across both our Malawi and Zimbabwe campuses. From inspiring the next generation of university students, to strengthening ties where our mission began, to welcoming visitors from the USA, every moment reflects the heart of Child Legacy and sustainable impact for the people of Africa.

Back Where it All Began: Zimbabwe is Still Moving Forward

When you’re part of a powerful mission, it’s vital to understand the vision you're working toward. At Child Legacy, our daily strides toward empowering people to help themselves and eliminating rural poverty depend on raising up leaders with integrity, sound morals, and grit—leaders who will, in turn, shape the next generation for lasting good.

Believing deeply in the ability of local people to lead with strength, our CEO Jeff Rogers brought the Malawi leadership team to our Zimbabwe campus. Their visit centered on learning, sharing best practices, and gaining a deeper understanding of where Child Legacy began. They toured the clinic and vocational training school before stopping at our very own Chingele Children's Home. There, they had a chance to spend time with our orphans and be amazed at what excellent young people they are turning out to be. It was a meaningful exchange that not only honored our history but also strengthened the bond between our two campuses and the vision we carry forward together.

Our Kids Love to Celebrate!

Later in the month, we celebrated the birthdays of our orphans in Zimbabwe. Smiles lit up the day as the children enjoyed their special moments of recognition, love, and joy. Taking turns cutting the cake, Lillian (in bright pink) turned 11, Melody (in light pink) turned 10, and Beauty (on the right) is 12. Each of these joyful faces is a reminder of how precious and deserving these little ones are of hope and a future.

A Living Model of Sustainable Energy

Often, our Malawi campus becomes a classroom or innovation hub for future leaders. Students from NCIC (National Construction Industry Council) working toward a Certificate in Construction Management and Foremanship toured our campus to study Child Legacy's unique renewable energy systems in action. Guided by Engineer Wellington Mendowa and Managing Director of Azul Power Solutions, Dan Touguinha, the students learned best practices and the most effective products to use in rural settings.

Our project stood as proof that sustainable energy is not only possible, but transformative. "We think if the students are here, they will learn a lot. That's why we bring them here at Child Legacy. There system is so different. We cannot get it anywhere in Malawi." Engineer Mendowa stated. These students left with new knowledge and a vision for building a better future for their communities.

Visitor Spotlight: Pastors Return to Malawi

We were deeply blessed to welcome Pastor Jason and Angie Brown from the United States back to our campus for their second visit in just a few short years. Their hearts for ministry overflowed as they once again poured themselves into reaching as many people as possible, sharing love and the hope of Jesus with those in need from our surrounding communities.

From preaching and worshipping in our church to encouraging and ministering to our staff, their presence lifted spirits across campus. They also spent precious time with families visiting our hospital, praying with them, encouraging new mothers, and blessing little ones in our care.

"It's amazing to see how God is using this organization to influence a nation." Pastor Jason said.

Angie even led a special women’s Bible study that combined crafts, fellowship, and heartfelt connection, leaving the women encouraged and delighted. "I'm leaving a piece of my heart here, every time I come." she shared.

Their visit was a beautiful reminder of the power of encouragement and the strength of the global church family in uplifting Child Legacy’s mission.
