Hatfield Campus Items For Sale Online Now - Part 2

Just click on the "place a bid" button and go through the prompts to sign up on the website with a credit card to make purchases. Further details are here on how to register and bid through Alderfer Auction's website. The sale goes through September 8th at 8 pm (Part 1) and September 9th at 8 pm (Part 2).

Everything from the former Hatfield site (furniture, IT, kitchen appliances, tools and more) is for sale. The items are placed in two parts to cover the 482 lots. Take a look, place a bid and pass along the links!

Spotlight: International Students

The COVID-19 pandemic has been particularly stressful for international students as they have had to wrestle with unique issues like visa status, cancelled optional practical training (OPT) opportunities, living far from loved ones, and adjusting to a country that is not their native land. In these times, Missio has offered opportunities to help our international students maintain their resilience and improve adaptability. Some of the support we have provided:

Zoom meetings for students to share their sermons, testimonies, praises, and prayer concerns. This time has been such a blessing!
Two-hour English sessions for eight weeks to help ACS students practice the language.
Six Missio staff and three Missio students have been conversation partners with fourteen international students. Our international students are deeply appreciating the genuine love, passion, and support from our Missio staff.
Four local Korean-American high school students have offered conversation sessions with six international students.
15 international students gathered at the former Hatfield campus parking lot on May 13, 2020 and enjoyed some light refreshments and shared their prayer concerns.

Recruitment:

Missio will welcome 22 new students to the MA Missional Ministry Program from Samil Church in Korea this fall.
July was a very challenging month for our international students. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) initially announced that international students were not allowed to study in the US if the school was going online. Then they rescinded the decision. Now, continuing students can study online with issued I-20s but initial status students are not able to participate. Please pray for the recruitment of international students for spring 2021.

Soo Hyun Oh (ThM student) is the newly elected Korean Student Fellowship (KSF) President.
KSF is modifying its chapel plan to become virtual.
Uiryong (Ryan) Kim was promoted to International Programs Coordinator.
