Blooming UU!

Blooming:  1) Unfolding  2) thriving in health, beauty, and vigor

Our pledge drive began blooming on March 31st and we are working together to have pledges complete and in full bloom by April 20th when we join to celebrate our vibrant and committed congregation on Community/Pledge Day.

How and what we choose to pledge financially is a deeply personal choice as well as a deeply shared commitment with this congregation. May you take the time necessary, allowing intuition, love, and reason as your guide, to discern a pledge amount which makes you feel connected and good. If you made a pledge last year, please consider increasing your pledge for this year by 10% to keep our congregation thriving.

You don't need to be a member of the congregation to make a pledge!

Blooming UU
From our inspiring, innovative music program and varied voices in worship to new strides in social justice, religious education, and caring for one another, our unfolding beauty is sustained by all of us. If it wasn't held and nurtured by so many people, our congregation would just survive.

Blooming UU
Thanks for all you do to keep this congregation thriving. We are grateful that you are a part of its health, beauty and vigor. This year, we are asking everyone to make a two year pledge commitment if at all possible. Doing so will help create stability for all levels of our programming and staff.

In the new fiscal year, we will continue our quest for fair wages and benefits for church staff. We have prepared a budget which will increase the pay to our support staff, office, and religious education assistants to meet the City of Bloomington's 2019 suggested Living Minimum Wage of $13/hr. With your help, we will also increase our childcare wage to $11/hr as well as expand the hours of our skilled media tech staff. These increases will help move our vision forward.

An invitation in peace and love,

Reverend Mary Ann Macklin
Reverend Scott McNeill
Reverend Emily Manvel Leite
