Paradise Valley United Methodist Church
Communion Sunday
On the first Sunday of the every month, we celebrate communion at all three worship services. We also collect food for homeless families served by UMOM New Day Centers. Just as Jesus fed his disciples, and feeds us, body and soul, we are invited to give the gift of food to others in need. Please bring your non-perishable canned goods and other items to donate next Sunday, August 6
Pastor's Message

  Dear Friend in Faith,

The strength of the church comes from God, working in the hearts and lives of our members. I know that we all carry much with us when we come into church. We carry our joys and our heartaches, our hopes and longings. We don’t always voice these. In fact, we can sit next to someone in church and never fully know what is going on in their lives.

The Apostle Paul sees the community of the church as a living entity, like a human body. He makes the analogy that we are the body of Christ: God has arranged the body so that there may be no dissension within the body. All the members care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together with it; if one member is honored, all rejoice together with it.” (I Corinthians 12: 24b-26). Paul sees us as deeply related and connected to one another. When one of us is hurting, all of us are touched by the suffering. When one rejoices, we all share in that joy....

Join Us for Better Together Sunday, July 30
Once every year, we get together to talk about what keeps us up at night. By sharing our troubles and concerns, we can offer each other support and maybe even come up with some solutions so we get a better night's sleep. On this special Sunday, we'll divide up into small groups so we can talk informally about the question, "What keeps you up at night?" The Church and Society Ministry Team hosts this event, and volunteers are needed to help moderate the groups. If you're interested in getting involved, contact Dave Ryan or Dan Sagramoso Read More
