Dear Temple B'nai Chaim Community,

A year ago today, I walked out of a B'nai Mitzvah service and into a different world.

The waves of hate had been rising for months, years, decades.
On October 27th 2018, the flood breached the levees that we had built around our synagogues
and hate carried away 11 souls.

The world was changed. Our hearts were broken.

Today is the anniversary of the massacre that took place in the Tree of Life - Or L'Simcha Congregation in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I hope that you'll join me in marking this yahrzeit by spending time remembering the 11 people whose lives were taken from them on that day.

Zichronam L'vrachah.
May their memories be a blessing.
