Dear Temple Sinai Friend,

I am looking forward to meeting you at this Saturday night’s Coffee House. There will be other times during the course of the summer when we will have the opportunity to get to know each other, but because a coffee house is filled with songs and smiles it will best express the joy of a new beginning.

At the start of the evening Jerry will introduce me, I’ll say a few words, we’ll have a short question and answer time and after that, the entertainment will begin. The evening concludes with Havdalah.

Nancy and I are excited about meeting everyone at the Coffee House. It’s going to be a lovely evening.

P.S. On Shabbat morning I’ll be delivering the D’var Torah. The portion is “Pinchas” and in it, Moses transfers the mantel of leadership to Joshua after having led the Children of Israel for 40 years. The Sages draw from the text the strong feelings of Moses and his people at this critical juncture. Should be interesting.
