The West Side Rag published a wonderful article about our six Citibins last month! These rodent-proof containers are part of the city’s Clean Curbs program, designed to keep trash bags and rats off of our streets. Our Clean Team stores the bags in the containers for pickup by the NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY), and we make sure to maintain the containers by power washing weekly. We are also looking at locations for two new containers and will be submitting testimony next week at a DSNY hearing on a newly proposed rule that will impact containerization efforts—and BIDs—across the City. | |
