President Joe Biden at the ground-breaking of Intel's $20 billion semiconductor factory complex, outside Columbus (30 miles from my hometown!), speaking with
Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger, who observed:
"This marks the end of the Rust Belt and the beginnings of a Silicon Heartland."
Just one more way that the U.S. is responding to the threat of China's tech rise.
While questions swirl around the government's helping hand in getting this project, no one questions the need for the U.S. to source its own chips and rely less on Taiwan.
