Twelve more women have just graduated from Child Legacy’s Sewing & Business Training Program, bringing the total number of empowered graduates to 48 since the initiative began in 2022. Each student received eight months of course instruction in professional tailoring and business training. Upon graduation, they also received their very own sewing machine to launch their own small business.

Chrissy S., one of our most recent graduates, shared her gratitude:

“I never imagined in my life that I would become a professional tailor and own a sewing machine. But thanks to CLI, I now have a future with sewing skills, business knowledge, and the tools to start my own business.”

Joyfully celebrating their accomplishments, CLI CEO, Jeff Rogers offered encouragement at the graduation: “Child Legacy is honored to have given you these skills and a sewing machine. Now, it is up to you to use this new beginning to shape your future and transform your family’s life. Go forward with blessings and great success.”

The ripple effect of this program is already being felt in homes and communities, and we look forward to seeing more lives changed through opportunity, empowerment, and hope.

The Return of Clean Water to Dambuleni Village

Child Legacy International has restored clean water access to the people of Dambuleni Village by repairing the community’s only well, bringing relief to more than 500 residents who had gone three months without safe drinking water.

During the outage, villagers were forced to rely on a contaminated stream shared with animals, putting their health at serious risk. Village Chief Dambuleni expressed deep gratitude to CLI for intervening:

“We thank Child Legacy for giving us back access to clean water. This repair means life for our people.”

In addition to the physical need met, spiritual transformation also took place. While the well was being repaired, members of the visiting Church Project team shared the gospel and 34 people made the life-changing decision to accept Jesus into their lives.

Water was restored. Hope was renewed. A legacy of love continues to grow.
