Culture, Values, and Environmental Preservation

Restore Forward's leadership team are in Tanzania with our partners at H.O.L.L.A (How Our Lives Link Altogether) for our Earthing in East Africa retreat. We're engaging with restorative and racial justice partners, creating space for what is possible for our climate and communities via access and mutuality with the land.

Those who journey with us will be immersed in conversation and ancestral practice for sustaining ecological systems and learn how African indigenous people view their relationship to the earth and the living, natural environment.

H.O.L.L.A is a grassroots organization committed to co-creating space for youth to heal and engage critically with and in the use and misuse of power through youth organizing.

Swahili words we're learning:

Kuja pamoja ni mwanzo, kukuwa pamoja ni maendeleo;

kufanya kazi pamoja ni mafanikio.

Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress;

working together is success.

A Project We Love

On our journey to Tanzania, we are supporting the

MTOKIJANI FOREST SOCIETY.

This project is carrying out important work in the Arusha region. Their vision is to make these lands green again. They are planting trees and distributing indigenous vegetable seeds to residents.

United in our efforts towards #SeedingFreedom.

Stay tuned to find out more about how you can travel to Africa with us, to deepen your connection to the roots, to the earth and to the wisdom of communities on these lands.
