Hi Friends,
There’s something almost ironic about writing today’s newsletter as I head out to the UK for my book tour there. Just like last time, I wanted to give you all a roundup of the US book tour by the numbers. Drum roll, please:
• Date I left: September 13
• Date I came back home: October 19
• 29 events
• 3 book festivals
• 22 states
• 20 flights
• 25 hotels
• 1 bus
• 2 trains
• So. Many. Ubers.
• 1 seafood tower
• 1 mosaic making workshop
• 3 total pieces of luggage including the Chapters Tour gown duffel bag
• 27 times I wore the gown
• 1 overnight dry cleaning of said gown
• 47 hours in Disney World
• 3 traveling publicists
• 2 Sephora visits IYKYK
• 1 margarita and order of nachos to celebrate hitting #1 on the bestseller list
• 6 weeks on New York Times Bestsellers list…and COUNTING…
• 20,508 readers at events
Thank you for reading Hollow Bones, for telling your friends and family to read it too, and for coming out to support me on the road. I may be tired and still confused about what time zone I’m in, but I’m also very grateful and very lucky to have you all as readers.
Oh — and speaking of readers — if there’s anyone you think needs a signed copy of Hollow Bones or any of my other books for the holidays, click this link to order and have it sent to you. This is the only time I’m able to personalize copies with special messages, just in time for holiday gifts!
XO,
Jodi
