Amy J. Blue Award nominations open March 1
st. This award is presented to three staff members each year. Nominees show meet these criteria - dedicated to accomplishment, committed to people and are positive and passionate about their work. The awards were established in memory of Amy J. Blue, an associate vice president for administrative services and facilities who died of cancer in May 1988.

The 2017 Commencement Speaker will be Justice Mariano-Florentino Cuellar, serving on California's Supreme Court since 2015. He is an expert in administrative law, criminal law and international law. Justice Cuellar was a member of the Stanford Law faculty from 2001 until 2015 and served as director of Stanford's Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies. He also served as an official the Clinton and Obama administrations.
