November 2016
FROM THE GROUND UP
THE BUILDING MANAGEMENT NEWSLETTER
Thank you Building Managers for the record participation rate in the  3rdAnnual Building Managers Survey.  Results will be published in the December/January newsletter.

Thanksgiving is soon upon us and it is important that you consider your building needs while classes are not in session. Thanksgiving Recess is November 21 st through November 25 th .  Most staff are on holiday for the 26 th and 27 th .  Will your building be secure?  Are you participating in the building shut down?  Do you have events over that week that will need janitorial support to clean up after events?  Now is the time to put in work orders.  And, every monitor and copier that goes into sleep mode saves energy.

A reminder of the campus wide Emergency Drill on November 17 th.  Hopefully your school or department has been preparing for this important event.  Thinking about steps you and your department take BEFORE an emergency helps to stream line response and action plans.

With the blaring headlines, it might be nice to observe the World Kindness Day Fair, in White Plaza on Friday, November 18 th. Come get a hug.  https://bewell.stanford.edu/kindness-fair

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
