Regina use to skip school a lot because she was forced to beg for her family or was used to get through small windows or vents to be able to steal. This fall she learned that she had to attend school to be able to come to our Bible clubs and camp. Regina became highly motivated and did her best to convince her family to let her keep up the school attendance instead of being sent out to beg.
Recently, Regina learned that one of the Ten Commandments is “Do not steal” and that it is wrong to take what is not ours. As simple as it seems to most of us, this was profound for Regina to hear. She had never known this before and it planted a seed in her heart to begin to live a new way of life. She even went home and told her family about what she had learned.
For children like Regina every prayer matters and every donation matters because she receives support to go to school, hear God's Word in Livada's after school program, and she learns that Jesus loves her and offers her and her poor family a better way of living. There are hundreds of precious kids just like her that we encounter daily. THANK YOU for allowing us to share simple, yet profound, Truth daily.
