No one can return to his original position by himself. You Unification Church members should know very clearly that you are cast in the role of Abel, but that you cannot return to God without taking Cain with you. God will not accept you alone. When Abel wins the heart of Cain and unites with him, they serve in a savior's role together. Only in that position can the true parents' role be restored.

Regis Hanna started by reading from Ezra chapter 8. Ezra felt deep repentance for his nation. He felt God’s grace as well. Regis thanked those who moved to Cheon Pyeong in Tennessee to support the 2^nd King.

It was a wilderness course for those who joined the Unification Movement during 1952 to 1992 akin to those who had escaped Eqypt more than 3,000 years ago. Considering the crummy food and sleeping accommodations, those following Moses in the desert for 40 years must have asked themselves, are we following a crazy man? Suddenly, enemies would come and attack.

All of us went out on a limb to be here. His family lived in 5 different countries. In 1992 True Father spoke about settlement. Regis wondered, “what does that mean?” Every place has a different culture. Settlement means you build something more permanent. What is the culture that binds you together? Something has to come from us, from each one of us.

When they complained, the Israelites found that bad things happened. It’s okay to bring problems, but you have to bring your idea for a solution, too.

The small group method has been used by many churches. Like small families. Marriage can be hard work, but it’s worth it. In Panama, only 12% get married. Korea has the highest divorce rate in the world.

He discussed the amazing success of the Oakland Unification family based on a victorious Cain-Abel partnership process. The Marriage Blessing is God’s gift to us. Then it’s our responsibility to give back. Each is called to be a good Abel. Abel cannot go to God without his object, Cain. The Fall was a family affair.

Cain puts his own concerns on others. Abel takes on others’ concerns, in addition to his own. True Father did not like the term “give and take.” He preferred “give and receive.”

What did Father do in Hungnam death camp? When his mother traveled for tens of hours to visit, to bring him rice powder food, he immediately gave it away, winning the hearts of the other prisoners. Father’s team always finished early. He took the hardest job. After they finished, he went to help other teams. Someone who was not a church member wrote a book called “The Saint of Heungnam.” He earned the loyalty of people.

His wife, Nancy, gave a precious ring to a black sister. It didn’t win her heart, but she tried. Serving others. The basis of Capitalism is to find a need and fill it.

The essayist W. H. Auden wrote “we cannot carry our own burdens. We can only carry someone else’s.” If you see someone who looks down at the ground, ask them how their week went!

The law of indemnity teaches that the value of suffering is about liberation. Resentment is the biggest wall builder. Resentment says “you owe me.” If you can punish the one you resent, it doesn’t make you feel better. Hate does not bring satisfaction. Forgiveness is a gift you give to yourself.

Liberation is not easy, but feels good in the end. He shared a Quaker story about burying someone that everyone hated. They couldn’t adjourn until someone said something good. Finally, after many hours, one farmer said, “sometimes he was less annoying than usual,” so they were able to conclude!

Human relations departments in the United States usually deal with salary issues. In Korea it knows about your family and what part of the country you came from. The one who invests and invests and forgets what he gave is in the subject position. The immediate result is the satisfaction of giving. The longer-term result means we get stronger internally.



He concluded by talking about his spiritual child, Maestro Fabeo in Panama. He grew up with asthma. He noticed that other kids didn’t have parents. He thought, “what do they need?” He invented a Martial Arts style and a began a MMA training group for the young people. He was a Vice Mayor of San Megilito and came to a talk by one of Father’s family. Regis noticed him and they had many conversations. He and 43 of his disciples received the Blessing. 5,000 youth involved. His leaders were taught to practice sacrificial love. 25 blessed children have been born since then!
