We’re delighted to welcome Saltwater Bakeshop to SOMA!
What began as a beloved bakery focused on early-morning bakes and wholesale deliveries has grown into a beautiful neighborhood café of its own. Built around exceptional bread, thoughtfully crafted pastries, great coffee, and a welcoming atmosphere, Saltwater Bakeshop is the kind of place its founders always hoped would exist in the neighborhood.
Now there’s even more to love. More pastries, more coffee, more sandwiches, and more of the quality and care that have made Saltwater Bakeshop a local favorite!
One especially exciting addition: breakfast is now on the menu. Whether you’re stopping by for a morning bite, settling in with a second cup of coffee, or picking up a fresh loaf to take home, Saltwater Bakeshop offers the perfect reason to start your day in SOMA.
Be sure to check out their menu and help celebrate their exciting new chapter.

We are proud to spotlight one of our members, Tokyo Moto...
A trusted motorcycle and scooter service center in SOMA! Owners Nansee Kim Parker and Shawn Parker have built a reputation for exceptional service, expert repairs, and a customer-first approach that keeps riders coming back.
Specializing in Japanese motorcycle brands while servicing most makes and models (excluding Harley's and Chinese scooters), Tokyo Moto stands apart from the typical repair shop. Customers are often surprised by the shop's immaculate appearance, featuring spotlessly clean floors and an exceptionally organized workspace that feels more like a luxury automotive dealership than a motorcycle repair facility.
What truly sets Tokyo Moto apart is its commitment to customer service and communication. Check out some of their reviews for yourself:
"I had a great experience with Tokyo Moto and especially with Shawn. He's incredibly easy to work with -- great communication, completely transparent, and explains everything clearly so you always know what's going on with your bike."
-Matthew H.
"I am always satisfied with any repairs Shawn helps me with on two of my motorcycles. Their prices are very reasonable. They have the best service manager that knows his business and they are really quick. I would recommend them and I wouldn't take my bikes anywhere else."
-David C.
"I've taken my bike there for service several times. Shawn and his crew are great and always do an amazing job. Very professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy."
-Omar A.
Whether you need routine maintenance, diagnostics, or major repairs, Tokyo Moto has earned its reputation as one of the Bay Area's most respected motorcycle service shops.

Destinations like SoMa Social are essential to the vitality of any neighborhood, and we look forward to creating a space that brings people together to socialize, celebrate, and unwind.”

Bay of Burma
3rd Anniversary Celebration
| | |
Congratulations to Ryan and Kay, owners of Bay of Burma on celebrating the restaurant's 3rd Anniversay!
The milestone was marked with a festive gathering that drew a steady stream of customers, friends, and community members throughout the evening, accompanied by live Burmese music and, of course, an exceptional spread of the restaurant’s signature cuisine. Since opening its doors three years ago with the goal of sharing the flavors and culture of Myanmar with San Francisco, Bay of Burma has become a beloved neighborhood destination. The anniversary celebration served as a heartfelt thank-you to the loyal customers, neighbors, and team members whose support has helped make the restaurant’s success possible, while looking ahead to many more years of great food, memorable experiences, and community connections.
Check out their menu and be sure to pop in for a visit soon, your tastebuds won't regret it!

Golden Gate Restaurant Association
Focal Outdoor Heating System
| | |
Personalized Outdoor Heat That Turns Cold Into Covers...
Top restaurants around San Francisco have switched to Focal for their outdoor heating system because it provides guests with personalized heat, plugs into a standard outlet and works with limited power availability. Finally, that one cold guest won’t kill the patio reservation and groups with different internal thermostats can be comfortable outside. Focal customers are consistently rewarded with more covers and a lift in 5-star reviews from patrons.
