Let’s examine the eighth plague in Egypt, the locusts, and their unique connection to end-time prophecies. First, back in the Exodus narrative, the plague of the locusts is the only one that God explicitly commands the Israelites to remember and to tell their children. Up to that point, the formula was quite different: the phrase, that Pharaoh may know that I am the Lord is repeated in different ways, 6 times over for most of the plagues preceding the eighth one (7:5, 8:10, 8:22, 9:14, 16, 9:29) |
