News from Community Resource Center | September 19, 2019
Dear CRC Supporter,

The first thing I noticed when I walked into my new office one year ago was the white board filled with words of welcome from the staff. Their thoughtfulness touched my heart because I knew their words also represented their hopes. And the one word I’d use to summarize their aspirations is: stability.

With one year behind and an open horizon ahead, CRC is stable.  A key indicator of this is the Strategic Plan and forthcoming Strategic Initiatives Campaign approved by the Board of Directors on September 10. We have a vision for our future and a plan that focuses our attention on several strategic priorities now through 2022... and beyond.

As I start my second year of service to CRC, the new word I'd use to describe the spirit of our organization is: CONFIDENCE.

Not the kind of confidence that’s arrogant, repugnant or self-serving. Never! But the kind of quiet confidence that knows self: built upon the foundation of humility, framed in compassion and finished with steadfast resolve to do our part in helping hungry, homeless and hurting people in our communities.

I hope you’re encouraged by what follows in this newsletter, and inspired to continue even grow your engagement in our Community Resource Center.

Without a home or a car, Sarah and Kelly thought they would have to live on the streets ...

Domestic violence thrives in silence. But when people speak up and join together, we can end domestic violence.
