February 2021 Edition
This newsletter is underwritten by Burns Scalo Real Estate.
I’m delighted to present the first issue for 2021 of our Airport Area newsletter, “From the Desk of Chris Heck”. The rising from the COVID-19 ashes is evident as you digest the exciting economic related news here in this issue. When the pandemic took hold of our lives, habits across the board were altered at an incredible pace. Those habits have turned into a new way of developing systems, techniques of maximum competition and yes keeping up with the demand for products and services vital to our economy.

Companies here in the Airport Area are at the forefront of innovation and are transitioning to a new economy such as Seegrid Corp, FedEx Ground and XBridge just to name a few. Educational shifts over at Robert Morris University and Pittsburgh Technical College are preparing our next generation for the future which will and can be witnessed as the Allegheny County Airport Authority focuses on infrastructure projects, Neighborhood 91, the micro grid for energy and the TMP project over at the airport itself. With the Southern Beltway connection scheduled for October, ConnectiveRx fully occupying two brand new Burns Scalo constructed buildings and the Royal Shell Cracker plant continuing to host over six thousand trades jobs we are back!
So, as we breath the vaccine filled breath of optimism after a full year of such a dark cloud, join us and learn what we are doing here in the Airport Area to move forward.

Your leadership brand superpower - Solutions 21
In the 21st century, leaders must develop their leadership brands and know why people want to work on their teams. Interestingly enough, it is extraordinarily rare that people even think about their individual leadership brands. Most personal brands have developed organically—and unintentionally. Your goal should be to develop the image or reputation you desire. It should not develop without your intentional direction. Do not allow your brand to develop organically.
